PEACE KILLERS sign to SVART, to prepare label debut‏

Today, SVART RECORDS announces the signing of PEACE KILLERS, a band of aging misfits with oversized amps and egos. Attempting to revive rock's filthy past and stumbling drunkenly down its darkest paths. PEACE KILLERS have released two self-financed digital EPs in 2013, and are currently preparing to start recording the debut full-length album, which will be released in late 2014 by SVART. As a preview, "Young Man's Shoes" is a track taken from their second EP, and can be heard HERE.

Before forming, the musicians comprising PEACE KILLERS shared a combined experience of almost 40 years gigging and recording in the Northern California punk and hardcore scene. Their style of writing is swift, intuitive, and improvisational. The result is an early metal sound with a DIY punk ethic. They boast a second lead guitar that creates a 3D effect in the band's blues-based sound, inspired by the twin guitars of legends like Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. Apart from those names, influences include the Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, UFO, Melvins, Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Fang, Witchcraft, and KISS.
